Here you will find some select photos of NC-PIMS courses, meetings and activities that took place this summer. Many thanks to Dr. Clark for vigilantly trekking all over North Carolina to participate in these events and documenting them with his trusty camera.

In late May, NC-PIMS Facilitators and the K-5 Course Development team gathered in Chapel Hill at the Center for School Leadership and Development to pilot the first five days of the K-5 Data and Measurement Course.

Dr. Linda James (East Carolina University) is leading a session of the pilot for the K-5 Data and Measurement course with NC-PIMS Facilitators and other participants.

Taking a break from the Course review session Dr. Clark and Sherrill join with Facilitators and Course Development Team for lunch.

At the end of June, NC-PIMS Facilitators Karen Hill and Jo Ann Fitchett parted ways to assume curriculum leadership roles outside the project.

An unruly group of individuals.

In June the K-5 and 6-12 Summer Courses for Lead Teachers began in various locations around the NC-PIMS hubs. These courses presented the new material to the Lead Teachers for the first time so they could begin preparing to present Professional Development to their peer teachers throughout the 12 NC-PIMS partner districts.

The new geometry course for 6-12 Lead Teachers and other secondary mathematics teachers debuted at the ERC in Fayetteville, June 26.
