For his outstanding leadership, Dr. Larry Price of Wilson County Schools was named the 2006 Superintendent of the Year by the North Carolina Association of School Administrators (NCASA) and The North Carolina School Boards Association (NCSBA).
Dr. Price has served as Superintendent for Wilson County Schools since 1998, and has lead his district to improved student profiency, expanded education facilities and recognition as one of the nation’s four most technologically advanced school districts in the instructional arena by the National School Boards Association and the Ohana Foundation.

In November, Dr. Price was recognized for his distinction as Superintendent of the Year and he now joins three others as finalists for the National Superintendent of the Year Award. The award will be announced at the American Association of School Administrators’ National Conference on Education February 23– 26 in San Diego, California. The AASA draws finalists from 50 state Superintendent of the Year finalists, and is awarded to a superintendent who has demonstrated exemplary leadership, communication and professionalism.

NC-PIMS would like to congratulate Dr. Price and our Partner District Wilson County Schools for this distinguished achievement.
